上海外国语大学国际关系与外交事务研究院于2006年11月18日成立,是一个集科研和研究生教学于一体的研究-教学型单位。其前身为上海外国语大学国际问题研究所,成立于1992年5月,是国内最早从事国际问题研究的专业机构之一。现已撤销建制。
院所简介
近年来,该院科研人员锐意进取,研究方向不断扩展,主要包括:国际关系理论研究、国际安全研究、中美关系研究、中外关系研究、俄罗斯研究、亚太国际关系研究、欧洲研究,以及女性国际政治研究等领域。
该院的“国际关系学科点”现有1个博士点(国际关系)和3个硕士点(国际关系、国际政治和外交学)。其中“国际关系”博士点是教育部所属外语院校中第一个复合型学科博士点,外交学硕士点是上海地区院校第一批外交学硕士点。目前国际关系学科是上海外国语大学“211工程”重点建设学科。
该学科的研究队伍包括国际关系与外交事务研究院、中东研究所的所有专职研究人员及上海外国语大学其它院系隶属该学位点的研究人员,共计31人。该院专职研究人员16人,其中已获得博士学位和在读博士达14人,硕士2人,教授、副教授12人,讲师4人。此外,还有一些国内外著名学者在该院担任兼职教授。
该院常年招聘政治学与国际关系方向的中青年学术骨干和青年博士。

School of International and Diplomatic Affairs
Established on November 18th, 2006, the School of International and Diplomatic Affairs (SIDA) of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) is an academic unit focusing on research and graduate education. Previously known as the Institute of International Studies of SISU and established in May 1992, it is one of the earliest research-oriented institutes committed to the studies of international affairs in China.
In the past years, our school has seen innovative endeavor of our research fellows and a steady-fast extension of research fields, covering international relations theory, international security, Sino-U.S. relations, Chinese foreign relations, feminism international politics, and Russian, Asia Pacific and European studies.
The field of international relations in our school now houses one doctoral program (international relations) and three master programs (international relations, international politics and diplomacy). The doctoral program of international relations is the first comprehensive disciplinary doctoral program in foreign language universities directly affiliated to the Ministry of Education (MOE). The master program of diplomacy is one of the first in the Shanghai area. International relations is now the key discipline under construction included in the “211 project” of our university.
The research team consists of 31 full-time research fellows at the School of International and Diplomatic Affairs and the Middle East Studies Institute, and from other departments. The school has 16 full-time research fellows, among whom 14 are PhDs or PhD candidates and 2 MAs; 12 professors or associate professors and 4 lecturers. There are also esteemed scholars who serve as adjunct research fellows.
This school holds regular recruitment of young and middle-aged academic talents as well as fresh PhDs in the fields of politics and international relations.
