选择原则
使用断路器来保护电动机,必须注意电动机(主要是交流感应电动机)的两个特点:其一是具有一定的过载能力;其二是起动电流通常是额定电流的几倍(可逆运行或反接制动时甚至可达十几倍)。所以,为了保证电动机可靠地运行和顺利地起动,在选择断路器时应遵循以下原则:
(1)按电动机的额定电流来确定断路器的长延时动作电流整定值
(2)断路器的6倍长延时动作电流整定值的可返回时间要长于电动机的实际起动时间。
(3)断路器的瞬时动作电流整定值:笼型电动机应为8~15倍脱扣器额定电流;绕线型电动机应为3~6倍脱扣器额定电流
当然,对于需要频繁起动的电动机,如果断相运行机率不高或者有断相保护装置,采用熔断器与磁力起动器结合的方式来控制和保护,也是比较合适的,因为这种保护方式便于远距离控制。
