肯·罗素（Ken Russell），1927年7月3日出生于英格兰汉普郡南安普顿，英国导演、编剧、演员、制作人。

在决定做导演之前，肯·罗素从事过多种职业：摄影师、舞蹈演员，甚至还去参军。但他最终发现电影才是他的兴趣所在。他开始制作一些短片，这些作品为他在六十年代制作的完美的电视电影做了良好的铺垫，他对视觉效果的细致把握和多样化的表现手法赢得了人们的赞赏。

他的第三部故事片《恋爱中的女人》(1969)大受好评，并把他推上国际名导的地位。1970年代他的天才得到了充分的发挥，70-90年代他成功导演了一大批风格鲜明的影片，这些影片虽然并没有得到电影评论家们的眷顾，但人们看到时常常会觉得它们十分引人入胜。作为一名富有争议且充满迷人想象力的导演，他那些古怪的作品、使人神魂颠倒的影像将永远被人铭记。

2011年11月27日，肯·罗素去世，享年84岁。
