马里奥·德沃·巴瑞特（Mario Dewar Barrett），生于1986年8月26日，以其艺名Mario（Mario）知名，是美国R&B歌手、作曲家、演员、模特、舞者及慈善家。

Mario成长在马里兰州的巴尔的摩，生活在一个普通人的家庭。他和他的祖母一起生活，而他的单身母亲陷入了毒瘾。在他4岁的那年,他说想成为一名歌星。他的母亲为了支持他的梦想,买了一台卡拉OK机。Mario在新泽西州的提内克读中学的时候，和Mo'Nique(美国女演员)，和最好的朋友Jaye Brebnor，还有他年轻的干妹妹Chea Tyler一起加入了音乐团体。在他的音乐生涯里他一直很投入音乐中。他学会了用钢琴，并用钢琴去创作旋律和歌曲。他11岁那年参加美国寇平州立大学的达人秀，随后被音乐制作人Troy Patterson发现。Mario进学院读到高中十年级（相当于国内的高一或高二），14岁的他受到音乐老师的鼓舞，还受到J Records总裁Clive Davis的喜爱，与唱片公司J Records签约。他的音乐受Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Nat King Cole, Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men, Usher, Joe影响。

第一张专辑Mario 时期(2002-2003)

2002年7月，Mario的第一张专辑出版了。主打曲“Just A Friend 2002”，脱胎自HIP-HOPHip-Hop专辑排行榜季军的好成绩。直到2006年，他的第一张专辑卖出70万张。

第二张专辑Turning Point 时期(2004-2006)

Ne-Yo作曲，被评论家描述为“轻快的旋律和甜美,让人联想到迈克尔·杰克逊

2006年2月，Mario对他的前任经理人Troy Patterson提起诉讼，因为Troy Patterson对Mario说给他5万美金就能把唱片达到300万张销量，Mario发现这是不对的。后来被Patterson起诉。Mario的新经理人是J. Erving，他是由Mario选出来的人。

第三张专辑Go!时期 (2007-2008)

专辑特约制作人Jermaine Dupri, Ne-Yo, Bryan-Michael Cox, The Neptunes, Sean Garrett,Timbaland和Akon等轻易的让Mario圆滑性感的心灵与R&B、hip hop融合在一起，突出了Mario多面性的嗓音。

第四张专辑D.N.A. 时期(2009-2010)
