人物简介
1981年12月毕业于湖北大学生物系，获学士学位,同年留校任教；1988-1991年师从著名藻类学家饶钦止教授和黎尚豪院士，获
中国科学院水生生物研究所理学博士学位；1993-1995年到以色列本古里安大学做博士后，从事藻类脂肪酸资源及藻类化学分类的研究。
主要成就
目前的主要研究领域为淡水藻类生物技术和藻类
系统分类学双星藻科的
分支系统学分子系统学研究上也取得了较好的研究进展。在生物技术方面，近年来对类球藻(Nautococcus mammilatus)生活史的研究，首次展现该藻漂浮帽的超微结构；发现鞘藻属中一种新的细胞分裂方式和帽状结构及其系统学
